Cydia 1.1.28 final version released for jailbroken iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. From the first beta of Cydia 1.1.28 released in December 2016 and after a lot of beta testing, Saurik finally released the final version of Cydia 1.1.28 exiting beta.
The final version of Cydia 1.1.28 came up with some normal bug fixes and improvements. Also, Cydia 1.1.28 is the first version bringing native support for 64-bit devices and full support for iOS 10-10.2 yalu102 jailbreak. Some minor modifications in this version make this Cydia 1.1.28 final version to work perfectly with iOS 10. It also supports iOS 9, 8, 7 and older version jailbreaks leading you to not feel concerned about updating from older versions.
One more major update in Cydia 1.1.28 final version is, Cydia now using APT 1.14~b, which is basically a “major update to the core package management logic used by Cydia. This library, which is shared with Linux distributions such as Debian and Ubuntu, is an industry standard, which Cydia has been excited to share. For purposes of performance and reliability, Cydia had a number of patches to the (rather old) copy of APT it had been using. It turns out APT’s upstream has been paying attention and was excited to have us update.”
Now come to purchases. Saurik has enabled the tweak purchases on iOS 10 – 10.2 jailbreak. Normally Saurik disables the purchases on new firmware jailbreak until both jailbreak and Cydia met the certain stability level to prevent the complaints, refunds, and device problems by the purchase and use of incompatible tweaks.
Saurik might have felt the latest Yalu102 beta and Cydia have met the required stability which leads Saurik to enable purchases. However enabling payments for iOS 10 haven’t automatically updated all tweaks to iOS 10 compatibility. It is developer’s responsibility to update the tweaks to iOS 10 and purchases.
